The Big 5

"During my first encounter with Forever Living Products (FLP), I was close-minded--to believe in the company, more so, to try and believe in its products--because the whole idea of it seemed to be against the usual practice of medicine. But through the sheer persistence and patience of my son, who was the first to get involved with the company, I just woke up one day, personally patronizing Forever Living Products, gaining positive results from the testimonies of friends and relatives, and in quite a number of cases, together with conventional medicine, speed recovery and provide some cure to many of my patients. I have been incorporating FLP with my medical practice, and having done so for quite some time, I have come up with this FLP combination, which proved to help people with heart and heart-related problems, stroke, diabetes, general weaknesses, and even those who are healthy to be healthier, providing some degree of prevention from developing any inherited or predisposing factors of hand-down diseases."
- Dr. Ludgerio D. Torres, Director, Philippine Heart Center
(1) Aloe Vera Gel
100% Stabilized Aloe Vera Gel; made from pure extract of Aloe Vera plant; contains over 200 ingredients including 20 essential minerals, 8 essential amino acids (so-called because they are not produced by the body), 11 of the 14 secondary amino acids, vitamins (A, B1, B2, B6, B12, C, E) which are also not manufactured in the body. For the most part, many cannot be stored in the body, so it is necessary to have a continuous source of these elements. According to studies, Aloe Vera contains SAPONINS (cleansing and disinfecting property), LIGNIN (deep penetrating property), ANTHRAQUINONE COMPLEX (antibacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral, analgesic/steriod-like effect without the side effects, anti-inflammatory, anti-parasitic), ENZYMES and MONO & POLYSACCHARIDES (acting as biological vehicle and treatment possibility).

Dr. Torres' Recommended Daily Intake: 20mL or about 1/4 cup, three times a day, preferably on an empty stomach. For people with medical conditions, it's better to consult with your physician before taking this product.

(2) Arctic Sea
Arctic Sea contains these essential fatty acids:
  • EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) - prevents "sticky blood" thus reducing the risk of a blood clot. Lowers the levels of blood fats called triglycerides, which are associated EPA
  • DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) - important part of the cells in the retina of the eyes. They play a significant role in the development of baby's visual acuity (sharpness of vision). DHA forms the key building blocks of the human brain tissue. They are important for the brain's normal growth and development, particularly in the last three months of pregnancy where the brain is at its rapid growth. DHA also plays a key role in the healthy development of the central nervous system and the maintenance of healthy cells for eye, brain, and neural development. DHA also improves behavior and emotional stamina.
Arctic Sea protects us against heart disease in the following ways:
  • By lowering the levels of LDL (Low-Density Lipoprotein) which are responsible for the sticking of bad cholesterol in the artery walls, while increasing HDL (High-Density Lipoprotein), which prevents cholesterol deposits on artery walls.
  • By lowering triglyceride levels.
  • By making platelets, the cells involved in coagulation or clotting, less sticky, thus preventing the clotting that can lead to heart attacks and strokes.
  • By making red blood cells less rigid and more flexible in the bloodstream, improving circulation.
Foods that are rich in bad cholesterol: Those that are high in saturated fats, basically meat from four-legged animals (pork, beef, etc.), egg yolk, balut, dairy products that are solid at room temperature (butter, margarine, etc.), cooking oil made from saturated fats, lard, crab paste (aligue), chicken skin, etc.

Foods that are rich in good cholesterol: Omega 3 in Arctic Sea, which is also found in tuna, salmon, mackerel, meat from swimming and flying animals (chicken, fowl, fish, etc.), olive oil, canola oil, corn oil, avocado, bangus or milk fish belly

Dr. Torres' Recommended Daily Intake: One (1) softgel capsule, three (3) times a day, after each meal. For people with medical conditions, it's better to consult with your physician before taking this product.

(3) Gingko Plus
Thought to be the oldest living tree specie. Scientifically proclaimed to trace its origins some 230 million years back. The tree is so hardy that one survived the atomic blast that destroyed Hiroshima. Gingko Biloba extract is world-renowned for helping the brain function better for increased memory and improved mental acuity. It earned the German BGA (Bundes-Gesundheit Amt), which is the equivalent of the America's FDA. It was developed along with Dr. Albert Leung, one of the world's leaders in herbal supplements, to help supply the brain with what it needs to function at its peak.

Gingko Biloba Leaf Extract, considered by many to be the ultimate brain tonic for its ability to enhance circulation in the brain. Plus, three Chinese herbs revered for their benefits: REISHI, otherwise known as Ganoderma Lucidum, which is gathered from the forest and has been used extensively in China as a general tonic for improved memory. It increases longevity, helping in the problems of senility. Also found beneficial in allergies, lupus, systemic llupus, hypertension, and blockage in the arteries. It protects the liver from damage, and also provides a feeling of relaxation, thus good for insomniacs. SCHISANDRA BERRIES, long used in China as a well-known tonic for a variety of uses, and the benefits of its anti-oxidant properties. It also aids in restoring and retaining energy. It's a tranquilizer and stimulates the immune system as well. CURED FO-TI, regarded by the Chinese as one of the best anti-aging herbs, has beneficial effects in preventing premature aging and promoting long life. Cured Fo-ti is considered far superior than its raw counterpart.

By combining these unique herbal components together in a synergistic formulation, FLP gives you the benefits of a natural "food for thought" like no other.

Gingko Plus beneficial ingredients can also be divided into the following:
  • Flavonoids - effective antioxidants that help fight damage caused by free radicals
  • Terapens - act as anti-coagulants, helping the blood flow better and the brain to recover quickly and more completely from damage due to lack of oxygen; also protect the nerve cells from damage or stroke; anti-stress and anti-anxiety effects
Dr. Torres' Recommended Daily Intake: One (1) tablet, three (3) times a day. For people with medical conditions, it's better to consult with your physician before taking this product.

(4) Garlic-Thyme
Garlic is an immune booster and a natural antibiotic. It controls hypertension, elevated bad cholesterol, and the like. It was named Russian Penicillin because of its widespread use in the Soviet Union, and from the famous Pavlov Institute, which proved garlic to be effective against bacteria, with no negative side effects. Research shows that garlic is totally selective in its bacteria destruction, only killing those bacteria that are harmful to our body. Amazingly, at the same time, garlic can actually enhance our good bacteria and improve our intestinal flora and digestion. Hundreds of studies suggest that garlic greatly enhances the power of the immune system to fight infectious diseases. According to British Medical Journal, the Lancet-Garlic does definitely lower blood pressure, citing studies done in Russia and Bulgaria. Japanese scientists reveal that fresh garlic completely wipes out breast cancers in mice, and has been known to be effective in warding off bladder cancers in animals.

Ingredients
Allicin - a powerful antibiotic
Ajoene - a compound that impedes the formation of blood clots in arteries, thus helps in preventing stroke.

When taken with Thyme, garlic multiplies its antibiotic properties and makes it more digestible and easily assimilated. Thyme is also known for its antiseptic, fungicidal, and anti-inflammatory properties. Garlic-Thyme brings these benefits without the strong odor of raw garlic.

Warning: Should not be taken by people who are to undergo operation (at least a week before the operation) as the Ajoene in it makes the blood thinner, impeding blood clotting.

Dr. Torres' Recommended Daily Intake: One (1) softgel capsule, three (3) times a day, before or after meals. You may increase the intake as the need arises. For people with medical conditions, it's better to consult with your physician before taking this product.

(5) Fields of Greens
We know how difficult it is for us to obtain adequate green veggies in our diets. Vegetables are critical in the prevention of many major illnesses, such as cancer and heart diseases, and in maintaining optimum wellness. Fields of Greens was developed by FLP together with Charles Robson, who is one of the Advisory Board Members of the FLP International Head Office.

Alfalfa is one of the riches mineral foods, with its roots growing deeply into the earth (as much as 130 feet below the surface), where the minerals still abound, far beneath the depleted topsoil. It is very high in life-giving Chlorophyll, Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium, and Vitamins A, B Complex, C, D, E, K, U, Biotin, Choline, Iron, Protein Tryptophan. Midwives have long prescribed alfalfa as a supplement during pregnancy because of its high mineral content. It virtually eliminates morning sickness, which is largely a symptom of mineral depletion.

Young Green Barley is high in Calcium, Iron, the 8 essential amino acids, Vitamin C, Flavonoids, Vitamin B12, minerals, and enzymes. Helps in healing intestinal and duodenal disorders, acting as an anti-inflammatory as well.

Wheatgrass is a rich nutritional food that has also been widely proclaimed as a cure all, which is extremely high in a wide variety of vitamins, minerals, and trace elements. Dr. Ann Wigmore, the first doctor to really latch on to young wheat's value as curative, claims that "it contains the highest variety of nutrients and that 15lbs. of fresh wheatgrass is equal to 350lbs. of the choicest vegetables." The molecular structure of wheatgrass closely resembles hemoglobin, the oxygen-carrying protein of red blood cells, and may be the reason for the effectiveness of chlorophyll. The only difference between the two is that the metallic atom in a molecule of a human blood is Iron, while the metallic atom of chlorophyll is Magnesium, making it beneficial to people suffering from anemia.

Cayenne Pepper is a catalyst for the above-mentioned herbs. It improves circulation, aids in digestion, stops bleeding from stomach ulcers. It contains Vitamins A, B complex, and C. It controls the functioning of the kidneys, pancreas, spleen, lungs, and heart.

Dr. Torres' Recommended Daily Intake: One (1) tablet, three (3) times a day. For people with medical conditions, it's better to consult with your physician before taking this product.
